This page was designed to make your transition smoother.
Required documents for new hires
New employees need to submit certain required documents before they can get paid. Generally, hiring departments are responsible for collecting these documents from the employee and submitting them to Human Resources. Below is a link to a list of these documents to help you gather the necessary information before you arrive on campus:
Classified Employees
New Hire Benefits Enrollment
All newly hired UNLV full-time Faculty and staff members, including members who go from part-time to regular full-time, are required to attend the new hire benefits enrollment class. Hiring departments are responsible for scheduling new employees for this session. The sessions are held every Friday morning, from 8am – 11am at the Campus Services Building (CSB), Room 164, at 4505 S Maryland Pkwy, Las Vegas, Nevada 89154. Parking for orientation is available in front of the CSB building.
The Benefits Enrollment session is a good opportunity for you to learn about the various benefits offered to University employees. This is also your opportunity to enroll in the university's health and retirement plans. A Benefits Counselor is available to review the benefits, answer questions and assist with the completion of forms.

If you have not been scheduled for the benefits enrollment session, have additional questions. or need additional information about benefits enrollment please contact the office of Human Resources (702)895-0924.
If you are interested in previewing the new hire information prior to your session, or if you just want a quick refresher, our power point presentations are available for on-line viewing. Please make sure that your computer speakers are on when previewing the presentations. You will still need to attend the new hire benefits enrollment, to complete the necessary forms to process your benefits.
Additional Information
RebelCard – The UNLV RebelCard is the official I.D. card for members of the UNLV campus community. Therefore, this card is mandatory for campus employees. Visit the RebelCard Services Center to obtain your RebelCard. They are located at the Moyer Student Union, Room 160. Your initial first RebelCard is free. Once you are signed up to attend orientation, Rebel Services will be able to issue your card.
Parking Permit - Parking permits are available for purchase online at The Permit Store website or in person by going to the Parking Services office. You can pay for your parking permit pre-tax by purchasing your parking permit through payroll deduction. For campus parking permit fees, visit the UNLV Parking Services website. As confirmation of employment please bring your Rebel Card. If you have not received your card, you may take your picture id and the signed employment document or a letter from the head of your department.
