After 20+ minutes of "technical difficulties", the video-conference meeting began.
Jeanette Hirose read back events from the last meeting which occurred on February 13, 1997.
Robin Freestone updated the group on the training seminar. The presenter is a former graduate of the University of Nevada Reno and a graduate of the Iowa School of Law. The presenter shared two potential presentation topics with representative from our Chapter. The topics were : "Anyone can be a Mediator -- No License Required" and "Five Steps to Conflict Resolution". The second topic was the one favored in the discussion. This topic, previewed as a Powerpoint presentation by the sub-committee, included the following elements : definitions, analysis and hypothetical role play. Additional work on the project will take place when the new officers assume their duties beginning in July 1997.
Election results for NV CUPA Officers were reported to the Chapter. As was previously decided, Larry Hamilton will assume the office of President of the Chapter on July 1, 1997. Serving with the president will be : Diane Fruth as President-Elect, Barbara Glazner as Secretary / Treasurer and Dorothy Wysocki as Program Coordinator. Congratulations were extended to all.
