
Report on CUPA Leadership Program [Diane Fruth]
From October 24-26, 1997, Diane attended the Association Leadership Program (ALP) sponsored by CUPA National. Diane will describe her impressions of the program. The 1998-99 President-Elect will be eligible to attend the ALP in the fall of 1998.
Formation of Nomination and Election Committee.
The Nomination and Election Committee shall solicit from the membership, suggestions and/or nominations for candidates for each elective office to be filled. The Committee will also accept and encourage self-nominations to each office. Prior to additional action, each candidates shall be contacted by the Committee in order to ascertain their willingness to be placed upon the ballot. Candidate names for each office to be filled will be placed upon the ballot in a random order. Ballots will be sent in an identical manner to each voting representative. Ballots may be sent via electronic mail or fax if the committee so chooses, or the committee may poll the representative via telephone or mailed ballot. Balloting to be complete by April 16, 1998. There are three positions to fill: Secretary/Treasurer, Program Coordinator and President- Elect.
Invoices for 1997-98 Dues are in the Mail.
Annual dues provide voting privileges for the key representative of the institution. Dues are $50.00 per year.

Along with the dues invoice, a copy of the 1997 Nevada CUPA Membership directory was enclosed. Corrections to the directory should be sent to Diane Fruth.
Report on CUPA SouthWestern Region meeting and upcoming conference.

Roadrunner Award Committee. [Larry Hamilton]
The Nevada selection for the SouthWestern CUPA Roadrunner award was sent to the Region in the last week of December. Nominations were solicited via e-mail. Jim German volunteered to serve on the committee along with the Chair, Larry Hamilton. The announcement of the award will be made at the Regional Conference in Tucson AZ in April 98.
