UNLV Emeriti Privilege Highlights
(Effective 2000)Persons designated as emeritus faculty by the UCCSN Board of Regents have lifetime faculty status at UNLV and as such are entitled to the following benefits and privileges currently in effect:
- Grants-in-aid for professors emeriti and their immediate families.
- Faculty/staff discounts on athletic and cultural tickets.
- Faculty/staff library lending privileges.
- Faculty/staff parking priviliges (NOTE: regular faculty/staff fee applies).
- Lifetime faculty/staff identification card.
- Eligibility for the university's faculty computer loan program.
- Faculty/staff UNIX computer account privileges.
- Inclusion on mailing lists for performances, lecture series, and other university events.
- Inclusion on invitation lists to certain departmental, college, and university events.
- Listing in the University Telephone Directory.
- The use of special laboratories may be permitted on a space-available basis with permission of the dean for emeritus faculty who may be involved in ongoing research projects.
- Professors emeriti involved in the preparation of manuscripts may be provided manuscript typing and related clerical services on an time-available basis with permission of the dean.
